Students, who already receive funding from Germany or from abroad are excluded, if the monthly funding is higher as 30 Euro. This applies for example for scholarships in ERASMUS+, from Agricola programme or from DAAD.
Scholarship Hilde Domin for Refugees
Students or applicants for studies, who are still living in the home country and like to flee to Germany, may apply for the scholarship Hilde Domin after the receipt of a conditional letter to study at Hochschule Mittweida. The first step is the online application to the Admission Office for a place to study at Hochschule Mittweida. After the receipt of the conditional admission the applicant sends this document by email to the International Office
The rectorate of Hochschule Mittweida selects the applications two times per year and informs the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Unfortunately there is only a very few number of places. The DAAD makes its own selection and informs the applicants. The final selected applicants receive an email from DAAD and need to apply for the scholarship to DAAD.
DAAD programme STIBET
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides the German universities per calendar year a small number of scholarships for international students. This programme is called STIBET scholarships. The awarding of the scholarships is the decision of each university. We use this programme to develop running university partnerships with partners in East Europe. The scholarships are awarded from International Office.
It is not possible to apply and not necessary. All applications from exchange and double degree students from this region come automatically into the selection round. The applicants need to be pre-selected by the home university des International Office.
The International Office informs all selected students. The scholarship holders are obliged to inform the International Office at any time on request about the study progress.
