Climate Utopias - What kind of world awaits us?

Climate change is one of the biggest problems of our time. Floods, droughts, forest fires, irreversible changes in the global ecosystems and our weather are already affecting us. However, there are efforts to counteract these developments through technologies that allow resources to be used sustainably as well as through changes in people's behaviour. But is this sufficient? How much will our future be shaped by changing living conditions and the (wide-spread) use of climate adaptation technology? What will our world look like - for better or worse - in 2100?

Does this conjure up images or even a movie inside your head? Excellent! All you need to do is submit them to us. We are looking for images/depictions or videos that reflect our future with the challenges posed by climate change - whether as a photo, collage, digitally created image, video (max. 3 minutes in length), painting (and scanned) or something else entirely - you are free to decide. Additionally, we would like to hear your thoughts about your artwork in a text of about 250 words. What was your idea, what does it represent and what kind of future does it show? The digital submission of your work (group submissions are very welcome too) is possible until 15 May 2023.

After this deadline, a jury will select the ten best submissions. These will be printed at our expense and exhibited at climate forum. The videos will be shown on monitors during the conference. The conference visitors will then have the opportunity to vote for their three favourites. The winner will be presented at the end of the conference.

We are looking forward to your submissions!
