Introduction Semester

The Introduction Semester is a special offer for graduates of the Studienkolleg of Hochschule Mittweida, who need a permission of stay from foreigner´s registration office.

Graduates, who passed their exam in February have the option to bridge the gap until the start of studies in October. By enrolling into the Introduction Semester the permission of stay may be extended. Without valid permission of stay students would have to leave Germany and apply for a new residence permit to return in October.

On own initiative and responsibility after agreement with the teaching staff it is possible to take part in examinations. Passed exams will be recognised for the study programme, but failed exams also. Out of this reason participants need to decide very careful about this matter and the decision has to be done at the own risk.

The course fee for the Introduction Semester is 300 Euro.

This fee became reducted In the summer semester 2021 to 150 Euro because of programme restrictions due to corona.

In addition, the semester fee of 95 Euro needs to be paid to become enrolled in the university (update 12/2021).
