Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar, from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, University of Applied Sciences Mittweida (HSMW), Germany, recently concluded a highly successful academic visit to the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (BUEB). The visit marked a significant milestone in advancing international collaboration in higher education, teaching, research, and innovation between the two institutions.

Hosted by the Office of International Relations at BUEB, the visit took place during the 19th International Teaching Week (October 27–29, 2025). Prof. Kumar engaged in a series of strategic meetings, academic discussions, and partnership-building sessions with BUEB faculty members and research coordinators. As part of the academic program, Prof. Kumar delivered a Master’s-level ' s-level lecture series titled “Economic Trends and Emerging Issues in Global and Cross-Cultural Management.” The sessions combined lectures and seminars, providing students with insights into global economic trends, internationalization strategies, sustainability integration, and cross-cultural management practices. One of the significant interactive teaching sessions involved approximately 27 students, of whom 26 were Erasmus participants and just one from Bratislava, reflecting the strong international environment at BUEB. Discussions centered around real-world case studies involving Walmart, Apple's global strategies, Volkswagen, and the TATA Group, enabling students to apply theoretical frameworks to global management challenges. During the visit, Prof. Kumar also met with Assoc. Prof. Boris Mattos, Vice-Rector of BUEB, and senior faculty members to explore potential avenues for joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, dual-degree programs, and participation in EU-funded academic initiatives. Preliminary discussions on cooperation were highly positive, laying the groundwork for future collaborations in key academic areas, including international Erasmus mobilities, joint International projects, and participation in International Week, and other business-related projects.

Reflecting on the visit, Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar remarked: “My visit to the Bratislava University of Economics and Business has been both inspiring and productive. The exchange of ideas and our shared commitment to academic excellence will undoubtedly pave the way for long-term collaboration and mutual growth.”
