Selection process for student exchange
The applicant-student
needs to fulfill the following formal criteria:
- is enrolled at the host university
- studies there in the third semester or later in an undergraduate study programme or in the second semester or higher in a graduate programme
- is able to spend the whole planned period of stay at Hochschule Mittweida or in the company for internship
- submitted an application as exchange student to Hochschule Mittweida as basis for the selection by Hochschule Mittweida
needs to fulfil the following academic criteria:
- proves very good to satisfactory study results
- fulfils the subject criteria for the study exchange or the internship, defined by the faculty coordinator of Hochschule Mittweida
- proves the necessary language level as agreed in the Inter-Institutional Agreement for ERASMUS+
- has not been ERASMUS+ scholarship holder before or has spent not the maximum of 12 months ERASMUS+ stay during the undergraduate and again not more as 12 months during the graduate study period or a PHD period
needs to fulfill the following personal criteria:
- upholds the values of the home university
- is willing and qualified to be a brand ambassador for the home university and the home country
These are the criteria for the selection process.
The home university
- informs appropriate students about this scholarship programme
- requires application documents from applicants to check the above listed criteria
- organises a selection round and decides about possible scholarship holders from own point of view
- fills in the student application list and sends it to Hochschule Mittweida
- agrees with the academic coordinator about the final selection
Hochschule Mittweida
- writes the minutes about the selection round with signature of the main represantative of the selection board
- informs the students about the selection result
- takes over the email contact to the scholarship holder
- prepares the ERASMUS+ documents for the scholarship holders
- prepares the invitation letter to apply for visa
- supports the student to organise the stay
