Codex for university projects abroad
Mittweida University of Applied Sciences joined the Code of Conduct for German University Projects Abroad in 2018.
This code was developed by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with the German Rectors' Conference. It contains minimum academic and ethical requirements for cooperation projects with international partner universities. This applies, for example, to the transfer of study programmes abroad or the establishment of faculties at foreign universities. These requirements must be met by both the German side and the partners. The Code is therefore a quality assurance instrument for the expansion of German higher education.
The German-Kazakh University in Almaty is an example of the application of the Code in the university's international relations. The Faculty of Industrial Engineering is involved here. Several degree programmes have been expanded to Almaty via a consortium of German universities. The partnership enables transnational mobility and degrees in the form of double degrees.
Another example is the English-language Master programme in Industrial Management - Innovation and Business Expansion, which the Faculty of Industrial Engineering has established at the Odessa National Economic University in Ukraine with the support of the DAAD.
