The Studienkolleg of Hochschule Mittweida is one of the recognised German TestDaF-Centers. Further Information

The state examination regulations of the Saxon Ministry for Science and Arts are applied for the preparatory course.

Hochschule Mittweida offers its applicants the possibility to participate in a German course in preparation for starting studies in Germany. The language course is offered at the university's Studienkolleg (Preparatory College).

The course is offered every semester with a duration of four months aiming at preparing international full-time students linguistically for studies in Germany.
In addition a cultural programme including excursions, movie nights, sports and other activities is offered giving participants the chance to get to know the university surroundings as well as other international students.

After completing the Preparatory German Course at Studienkolleg students have the possibility to take a DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang) or a TestDaF exam. Students can only start full-time studies in Germany after successfully passing one of these exams.

A fee for participating in the Preparatory Language Course is obligatory. More Information
A minimum of 600 hours of German is necessary for participation.

German exam passed - now what?

The DSH exams are scheduled for July and November.

Students who passed their examination in July can enrol as a student at Hochschule Mittweida in September.
Students passing the February exam have the option to participate in a special Introduction semester for further linguistic and study-related training in prepapartion for enrolment in September.
