German Courses for Study Preparation
Sufficient German language skills are essential for successfully studying in Germany as a full-time student. Hochschule Mittweida - University of Applied Sciences offers international applicants with a "Conditional Admission" the following possibilities to further improve their German language skills:
Besides having its own Studienkolleg (Preparatory College) Hochschule Mittweida also cooperates with Studienkolleg Glauchau for selected partnerships in China offering Chinese applicants a specific study preparation programme.
Preparatory German Course
To ensure an optimum preparation for your studies in Mittweida the Studienkolleg of Hochschule Mittweida - University of Applied Sciences offers international students the option to participate in a Preparatory German Course.
This course is specifically intended for international applicants who do not yet possess sufficient proof of their German language skills. An overview of the accepted German exams can be found here.
After completing the course students can take the DSH exam.
It is not possible to apply for the language courses directly. The first step is to apply for studies at Hochschule Mittweida - University of Applied Sciences.
If an applicant does not fulfil the language requirements, a participation in the language course will be offered automatically with your conditional admission.
The minimum requirement for a place to study are 600 hours of German.
After completing the Preparatory German Course students have the possibility to continue their liguistic and study-oriented training by enroling into an Introduction Semester.
